As a new review cycle is launched for the organization the participants of the review cycle will receive an email notification as shown. The review participants are expected to complete the following actions before the deadline.
Nominate coworkers to provide peer reviews.
Complete the self-review process.
This article will help you in accomplishing these two tasks.
Step 1: (Go to the review)
Go to the review page. Clicking on the link in the email will directly take you to the review that you have to fill up. Alternatively, click on the Performance->Reviews option from the Navigation Bar on the left. This will take you to the Reviews page. Under the "Your Reviews" section you will find the review cycle, Click to open the same.
Step 2 : (Complete peer nomination)
If peer reviews have been enabled, The next step will be to nominate the peers. You can click on the Nominate peers button shown below and nominate the co-workers with whom you have closely. Please note that these peers will receive your peer review request post your manager approval.
These peers will write feedback about you which will be shared with your manager, to help the manager assess your performance in a democratic and more accurate manner.
It is recommended you nominate peers at the earliest so that peers get sufficient time to provide feedback to multiple requests that they might receive.
Step 3 : (Self Review: Reflect on your goals)
After peer nomination, you continue with the self-review or choose to do it at a later time. You will see the Achievements section as shown below if your organization wants you to reflect on your goals\okrs. This page lists all the OKRS and the projects that you have owned during the said period. In your reflection, you can talk about
Your individual achievements with regards to this specific goal.
Things that went well.
Things that could have been better.
Key learnings.
You can also provide your rating against each of these goals. Remember that these objectives at times could be dependent on multiple people. So the OKR progress might not be the full measure of your actual performance. So make sure you provide a good reflection summary each.
Step 4 : (Self Review: Custom questions)
You might see one or more sections subsequently where the organisation wants to assess you on certain parameters. These sections could be related to areas like culture, values, behavior, skills, competencies, etc depending on how your organization has configured it.
These will be simple text or number scale-based questions. As a good practice, providing data points and examples for each of the questions can help you extract the best results out of this review cycle.
Step 4 : (Self Review: Self Rating and Submit)
This section will be shown if the organization expects you to provide a self-rating. Choose a rating that you think you truly deserve based on your own assessment. At the same time, it is also generally expected you have backed it up with a good reflection and enough data points in the previous sections.
You can submit the self-review once you have filled in all the sections. Once you have submitted the review will be sent for manager evaluation and the manager will be notified of the same.
